Focus on Carbon Reduction ------------Hope Deepblue High-Quality Energy Management System Supports Green Innovation in Coal Chemical Industry

From January 14 to 16, 2026, the “2026 China Modern Coal Chemical Technology Innovation and Industrial Upgrade Conference” was successfully held in Yulin, Shaanxi Province. The conference, themed “Technology-Driven, Innovation-Led: Building a New Pattern for Modern Coal Chemical Industry Development,” aimed to thoroughly implement the national energy security strategy, promote clean and efficient utilization of coal, and accelerate the modernization of the coal chemical industry toward high-end, diversified, and low-carbon development.

Hope Deepblue Air Conditioning Manufacturing Co., Ltd., recognized as a model enterprise in industrial energy conservation and carbon reduction as well as a deep participant in green transformation in the coal chemical sector, was invited to attend the conference. The company delivered a keynote presentation titled “Efficient Utilization of Waste Heat in Coal Chemical Industry,” sharing in detail its innovative practices and achievements in waste heat recovery and high-efficiency utilization.

During coal chemical production, significant low-temperature waste heat and residual energy resources—including steam, flue gas, high-temperature materials, wastewater, heat transfer oil, biomass fuel, and other by-products—are generated. If not properly recovered, these resources result in energy waste and increased carbon emissions. Hope Deepblue’s lithium bromide absorption chillers and absorption heat pumps are capable of fully recovering and utilizing waste heat across different temperature ranges, ensuring maximum energy efficiency.

Specifically, lithium bromide absorption chillers use low-temperature waste heat for cooling, replacing conventional compression-based refrigeration systems, reducing electricity consumption while meeting process cooling demands. Absorption heat pumps, on the other hand, can elevate low-temperature waste heat by 30–50°C, producing high-temperature hot water or steam for process heating, or supporting waste heat power generation and expansion work through the ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle). This approach allows waste heat that would otherwise be discharged to be efficiently reused, significantly improving overall energy utilization.

In practical applications, LiBr absorption chillers and heat pumps have been successfully deployed across multiple coal chemical production units, including distillation towers, coal coking plants (initial cooling towers, circulating ammonia towers, ammonia stripping towers, etc.), maleic anhydride hydrogenation units, condensation kettles, propane removal towers, and polyester fiber production facilities, achieving substantial waste heat recovery.

Hope Deepblue focuses not only on the energy-saving and emission-reduction performance of individual units but also on integrating absorption chillers and heat pumps into a comprehensive energy management system. By optimizing waste heat, steam, and cooling resources across the production process, the system enhances overall energy efficiency and promotes a low-carbon, clean, and efficient transformation in high-carbon industries. This system-level approach provides a replicable and scalable model for green industrial upgrading in the coal chemical sector.

Experts at the conference generally agreed that achieving high-quality development in the coal chemical industry requires technological innovation and systemized energy management. Hope Deepblue’s experience demonstrates that high-efficiency utilization of waste heat through LiBr absorption chillers and heat pumps not only reduces production energy consumption and carbon emissions but also generates considerable economic benefits, supporting sustainable industrial development. The company is evolving from an equipment supplier into a global provider of systematic solutions and an ecosystem builder for industrial green transformation, contributing China’s expertise and solutions toward global carbon neutrality goals.
