Focusing on Industrial Waste Heat Recovery: An Analysis of Hope Deepblue's LiBr Absorption Heat Pump

The LiBr Absorption Heat Pump is a heat-powered device that recycles Low Temperature (LT) waste heat to High Temperature (HT) heat sources and and upgrades it into usable thermal energy for the purpose of process heating or district heating. It is particularly suitable for industrial applications with stable waste heat sources, such as power plants, chemical plants, and regional energy stations. Unlike common compression heat pumps, the LiBr Absorption Heat Pump does not require an electric compressor, offering low vibration and noise. Depending on circulation method and operation status, it can be classified into Class I and Class II.

Class I Absorption Heat Pump (Heat Amplifier Type)

1. Working Principle: It utilizes high-grade heat sources (such as steam, HT hot water, natural gas) as the driving energy to recover heat from LT waste heat sources, elevating it to a higher-temperature hot water for improved energy utilization efficiency.

2. Characteristics: It utilizes a high-temperature driving heat source and waste heat sources at 10–50 °C to heat district hot water to 60-100°C. The district hot water flows sequentially through the absorber and condenser, is heated, and directly outputs hot water, requiring no independent cooling water system.

Class II Absorption Heat Pump (Temperature Boosting Type)

1. Working Principle: It directly utilizes medium- or low-temperature waste heat as the driving energy to boost a part of its thermal energy to a higher temperature level, producing high-temperature hot water or steam.

2. Characteristics: It can heat district hot water to 90-145°C without consuming other heat sources. The temperature rise of district hot water occur only within the absorber. A cooling water system is required at the condenser to dissipate system heat.

As a leading enterprise in the field of lithium bromide absorption heat pumps, Hope Deepblue is dedicated to applying LiBr absorption heat pump technology across various industrial energy-saving scenarios, providing users with reliable technical solutions to achieve coordinated reductions in both energy consumption and carbon emissions.
