On July 1, 2025, a delegation of students and faculty from the Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering program of Sichuan University visited Hope Deepblue Air Conditioning Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for a structured internship and technical exchange. This initiative marked another step forward in strengthening university-industry collaboration, providing students with a valuable platform to integrate theoretical learning with practical experience.

During the opening session, the company presented an overview of its development and core competencies. Hope Deepblue, a wholly owned subsidiary of Continental Hope Group, is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in lithium bromide absorption refrigeration technology. The company focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of a full range of absorption chiller units, including direct-fired absorption chiller, hot water absorption chiller, and steam absorption chiller models and so on. These systems are widely used in hospitals, commercial complexes, and industrial waste heat recovery applications. Hope Deepblue maintains a strong commitment to technological innovation and talent development, actively promoting integration between academia and industry to drive mutual advancement.

Guided by senior engineers, the students visited the production workshop, testing center, and product exhibition hall. Throughout the tour, they received detailed explanations on core manufacturing processes, key components, and system principles of lithium bromide absorption chillers. The visit enabled students to gain a direct understanding of the company’s rigorous manufacturing standards and full-industry-chain capabilities, while connecting textbook theories such as “refrigeration principles” and “equipment selection” to real-world engineering practices.

Professor Lü, representing Sichuan University, remarked that practical exposure to leading enterprises is an essential extension of classroom teaching, offering students clearer insight into the industry landscape and their future career paths. Student representatives echoed this view, stating that the visit not only broadened their horizons but also reinforced their confidence in joining the HVAC industry.
