Hope Deepblue LiBr Heat Pump Applied Alps, Start the warm journey of the ice and snow world
The Alps, a world-renowned scenic area and tourist destination, which is known as the "Palace of Nature" and the "True Geomorphological Museum." It has birthed many classic movies such as "007" and "Heidi." It is a chosen place for winter sports, an adventurer's paradise, and the premier destination for winter sports worldwide.
Thanks to the great help of Austria partner, recently Hope Deepblue successfully won a bid to provide one unit hot water LiBr absorption heat pump to a power plant, located at Lermoos, Tyrolean, Austria. By recycling the waste heat from the flue gas of biomass boiler, the application of this heat pump can enhance thermal energy output efficiency.
As a major winter sports in the Alps, there are more than over 600 peaks over 3,000 meters above altitude in Tyrol Austria, and there are various ski trails with different difficulty levels spreading across the state, allowing skiers to freely traverse the snowfields.
As we all know that wood chips as the source of biomass fuel, they are more available in mountainous area. There are numerous biomass heating plants in high-altitude regions of the Alps, which aim at provide heating to nearby towns or cities. The biomass boiler produce hot water by burning wood chips, but generate vast high temperature flue gas simultaneously. Without the application of specialized energy-saving recovery equipment, such as LiBr absorption heat pump, this flue gas cannot be effectively utilized, resulting in a waste of thermal energy resources. Moreover, the stringent waste emission standards in the Alps' tourist areas significantly increase the environmental operating costs of biomass heating stations. Consequently, an increasing number of biomass heating plants are actively seeking advanced energy-saving equipment to boost the thermal energy output efficiency of biomass boilers
