LiBr (lithium bromide) absorption chiller and LiBr absorption heat pump are mainly products of Hope Deepblue, which can recover waste heat for cooling and heating in many industries. Usually LiBr absorption units are composed of four main components, generator, condenser, evaporator and absorber. And a certain amount LiBr solution is also indispensable in the unit. LiBr solution, as a vital working medium for absorption chillers, heat pumps and some other HVAC equipment, is an important factor for the efficient and stable operation of absorption unit. And the importance of LiBr solution for LiBr units is equivalent to that of blood for the human body.

The general properties of LiBr are similar to those of salt (NaCl). It does not deteriorate, decompose or volatilise in the atmosphere, which has a stable substance. LiBr solution is a very special liquid with many unique properties. The following are some of the specific properties:

1. Good water absorption ability: It has good water absorption ability and can absorb water from the surrounding environment, which makes the LiBr solution widely applied in dehumidification and refrigeration fields. In LiBr absorption chiller, the refrigerant water sprayed in evaporator takes away the heat of the chilled water outside the tube and turns into refrigerant vapour. Because of its good water absorption ability, the LiBr solution in absorber constantly absorbs the refrigerant vapour, thus the refrigeration of the evaporator continues.

2. Stable chemical properties: Its chemical properties are very stable, and will not react with substances in the surrounding environment. This stability makes it very reliable during storage and use. Its concentration and composition will not change over time. Therefore, the performance of LiBr absorption chillers and heat pumps can be stable for a long time.

3. High temperature stability: It has high temperature stability, can be applied at high temperatures and is not easy to decompose or deteriorate, which enables LiBr absorption units to operate smoothly even when the temperature of the heat source is too high.

The quality of LiBr solution directly affects the performance of LiBr absorption units, therefore, its quality indicators should be strictly controlled, generally should meet the following technical indicators:
