What Are the Refrigerant, Surfactant, and Corrosion Inhibitor for LiBr Absorption Chiller?

Hope Deepblue is the largest manufacturer of refrigeration and heating equipment in southwest China. The main products are LiBr absorption chiller and heat pump. LiBr absorption chillers can refrigerate by different heat sources, such as hot water, steam, flue gas, etc. LiBr absorption heat pump can convert low temperature heat source into high temperature heat source. 

1.Refrigerant - Water
The refrigerant water from the condenser absorbs the heat of the chilled water in the tube of the evaporator and reduces the temperature of the chilled water to the setting value. The cooling water is used to reduce the temperature of the medium in the absorber and condenser, and it is heated up and connected to the cooling water circulation system, and returns to the LiBr absorption units for recycling after cooling down.

2.Surfactant - Isooctanol
Surfactant are often added to LiBr solutions in order to improve the heat exchange effect of heat exchange equipment. Such substances can strongly reduce the surface tension. Isooctanol at atmospheric pressure, is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor, and has a small solubility in solution. Experiments have shown that the addition of isooctanol increases the cooling capacity by about 10-15%.

3.Corrosion inhibitor - Lithium Molybdate

Since LiBr solution has certain corrosive properties, when there is air inside the LiBr absorption unit, it will aggravate the corrosion of LiBr solution on the unit. The corrosion inhibitor forms a protective film on the metal surface through a chemical reaction, so that the metal surface is less or not subject to the invasion of oxygen initiation.
