S.N 22 - Liaoning Harbin Cryogenic Gas Liquefaction

On July 28, 2016, phase I of Pengfei's LNG project with an annual output of 600,000 tons of methanol and 400 million square meters was put into operation. The LNG project is the first project in Shanxi Province and the largest in China to produce methanol co-production project. The first phase of Pengfei Group's annual output of 600 kt methanol relies on the surplus coke oven gas resources generated in the coking process of Pengfei Group's coke production base, and makes full use of the advantages of high methane and hydrogen content in coke oven gas. The methane in coke oven gas was directly separated into liquefied natural gas by dry cryogenic liquefaction process and methanol was synthesized by adding carbon to the system by advanced continuous gasification process of pure oxygen. After completion, the project is expected to produce 600kt methanol, LNG 4×10^8m^3, as well as miscellaneous alcohol, sulfur, exhaust gas and other by-products.
